「Phone (2)」や「Ear (2)」などのヒット商品を提供する英国ベンチャー企業「Nothing Technologies Limited」は 2023 年 8 月 31 日（金）、2021 年に提供開始しながらもその座をコミュニケーションツール「Discord」に奪われてしまった公式コミュニティプラットフォーム「Nothing Community」を、2024 年に再導入すると発表しました。
「Nothing Community」は文字通り、Nothign 公式のコミュニティサイトです。当時はそれなりに活発にやり取りが行われていたのですが、いつの間にか「Discord」の「Nothing」チャンネルの方が盛り上がってしまっている状態。しかし Nothing は改めて、「Nothing Community」に力を注ぐ模様です。
その理由は、Nothign 公式コミュニティを Nothign 公式サイト（nothing.tech）に属するサイトで運用し、より大きくより良いコミュニティを構築していきたいためとのこと。単純に、「Discord」に奪われてしまったイニシアチブを取り戻したい、ということなのでしょう。
https://nothing.community/ Nothing は、「Nothing Community」では「Discord」より充実したコミュニケーションを提供するとのことで、ソフトウェアアップデート情報やファームウェアアップデート情報、そのほか製品やサービスに関する様々な情報が「Nothing Community」で発信され、そして「Nothing Community」参加ユーザーと相互のやり取りが活発に行われていくと予想されます。
ちなみに、「Discord」の「Nothing」チャンネルも、そのまま継続される模様です。
The Return of nothing.community 🌐
We’re working behind the scenes to develop a fully-owned Nothing Community platform which will launch in 2024. As our community evolves, so do our platforms.
We’ve spent the past few months growing our community here on Discord, offering fun conversations, behind the scenes content, and new ways to collaboratively shape the future of Nothing.
Now, we want to start bringing that experience to our home on nothing.tech. As a first step towards building a bigger and better community, we’re reintroducing our Nothing Community website.
The website will host detailed and informative blog posts, brand announcements, longer conversations and more, to ensure a well-rounded and accessible stream of Nothing content to everyone who wants to be a part of our journey. It’ll help us take charge of our Community experience and create a bespoke, unmistakably-Nothing space.
We have always involved our community in the development of Nothing, which is why our next cohort of Insiders will be helping us shape our upcoming Nothing-owned community platforms.
We’re really proud of the Nothing Discord server that we’ve built, so this will continue operating as an official Nothing Community channel. We love the non-stop tech chat as well as hosting live calls and events with you all. We’re just excited to be offering different platforms that suit the different preferences of our community.
