Google 出資の中国メーカー Mobvoi は、CES 2019 で発表した新型 Wear OS ウォッチ「TicWatch S2」と「TicWatch E2」に搭載される新しいフィットネスアルゴリズム「TicMotion」を紹介する DM を、メールフォーム登録ユーザーに送付開始しました。
DM は「TicMotion」についての説明のみで、先行予約やキャンペーンなどのプロモーションを紹介するものではありません。あくまでもソフトウェアの紹介です。

「TicMotion」は、新型 Wear OS ウォッチ「TicWatch S2」と「TicWatch E2」に搭載される新しい AI フィットネスアルゴリズムです。初期バージョン v1.0。
その特徴は、ユーザーがフィットネス開始時にアプリを起動して “スタート” 操作を行うことなく、フィットネスアクティビティを開始したら AI がその行動開始を自動検知し、シームレスにフィットネスログの取得を開始する点。特に水泳を行う場合は、ストローク動作からスイミングフォームを区別するなど、かなり高性能なフィットネスログ機能となっています。
またフィットネスログだけでなく、睡眠ログも自動で取得する点も特徴。要は「TicMotion」は、24 時間監視型のAI フィットネスアルゴリズムとなるわけです。
取得されたフィットネスログや睡眠ログは専用アプリにデータ転送され、行動分析が行われて、数値やグラフで分かりやすく表示されます。このほか「TicMotion」ソフトウェアアップデートによって、更に進化もしていきます。
「TicWatch S2」と「TicWatch E2」、Snapdragon Wear 2100 搭載ということでガッカリされた方も多いかと思いますが、ソフトウェア面でカバーされているようですね。精度が気になりはしますが、そこは期待したいところ。
